The ATEX marking

All the Jet Washers of Nuova Saimar S.R.S. have this plate: Ex II 2G IIB T6 X. What does it means?

Ex = Explosion Proof, according to Atex 94/9/CE Directive

II = Hazardous Area no mining, which means that this tool can be used everywhere except in mines

2G = Zone 1 GAS, this is the most important one, and means that this equipment is ok  in Zone called “1” containing gases

IIB = suitable for all kinds of gases of IIA and IIB group, if the level of protection requires it (for example acetone, propane, ethane, methane, n-butane, n-hexane, ethylene, etc…)

T6= class temperature up to 85° C (maximum surface temperature)

X = special condition for safe use (see Use and Maintenance Manual)
